REPRESENTATIVE MCMURTRY HOSTS SCREENING OF HE NAMED ME MALALA
DEDHAM, MA- State Representative Paul McMurtry and owner of the Dedham Community Theatre will join colleagues in government to host a special showing of the inspiring documentary, He Named Me Malala at the Dedham Community Theatre on October 19th at 8pm.
“This is a unique opportunity to combine my two passions public service and the Dedham Community Theatre, to share an important message for young women, education and equality,” McMurtry continued, “I hope everyone who sees this film is inspired to make a difference in our world.”
He Named Me Malala is a true story of an extraordinary young lady, Malala Yousafzai, who was shot in the head by the Taliban after speaking out on behalf of girl’s education. Her work and advocacy on behalf of girls all over the world led her to become the youngest recipient of the Noble Peace Prize in 2014.
